The Journey

My artistic journey really started out in the beauty business as a hairstylist, hair color educator, and a makeup artist working in and out of the salon. This included working with community theatre, doing special events like fashion shows, weddings and commercials. Even my years in corporate customer care, I was decorating our office space and bulletin boards. Again a right brain kinesthetic kind of thing. A different type of art but it still required creativity and artistic ability.

My retirement from the working world, brought the amazing gift of travel, my other great love. Our retirement of a Grand RV Adventure brought me to some of the most beautiful scenery in this country. Talk about inspiration.

It was easy to slide into art, with a lot of encouragement from some other talented artists and marketing family and friends.

Part of my creative arts journey involves studying famous artists. My life has been blessed with visits to multiple museums including The Louve, The Prada, Musee d Orsay, the French Home Museum of Vincent Gogh, The Salvidor Dali Museum, The Art Institute of Chicago and many others.

While I've dabbled in different art mediums, I found a deep connection to watercolor painting. I love how it adapts to abstract art, and all of nature art beautifully.
